25 years ago, the EU ESPRIT + IST working group APART was started. Many research activities and research collaborations originated from APART. This meeting celebrated this anniversary in the Alps at the University Center Obergurgl of the University of Innsbruck. It is at approx. 2000 meter altitude in a spectacular mountain scenery of Tirol/Austria and offered excellent skiing, cross-country skiing as well as winter hiking during the time of the meeting.
The goal of the meeting was to look back at 25 years of tools and HPC research and forward to the next 25 years.
