All participants must be able to identify themselves during the event with an officially authorised identification document.
Passport and Visa
A valid passport is required for non-EU citizens for entry into GERMANY and the European Union. An identity card is sufficient for citizens of EU Member States. Please consult your Consulate for details. Travel planning and early visa application are important, since visa applications have become subject to a greater degree of scrutiny than in the past. It is strongly suggested that all attendees contact their local embassy to determine the travel documents they will need to visit Germany.
If you do need a visa to attend the event, please apply as soon as possible!

Letter of Invitation
The Organising Committee will send you a letter of invitation upon a separate request. The Organising Committee would like to clearly state that the letter is only to assist participants in obtaining a visa or in their efforts to raise travel funds.
The invitation letter does not imply any financial obligations on the part of the conference towards participants. Participants requiring an invitation letter for visa application purposes should request this during the online registration. Letters of invitation will not be issued without receiving the registration and payment of the required registration fees.
Should your visa application be declined, you can send a request for a full refund of the registration fees VMSSupport@dlr.de before 4 April 2025. A scanned copy of the rejection letter for a visa should be attached to your request for a refund.
For requests from 4 April 2025, the cancellation policy will apply.
