Description

HERMES (Helmholtz Rich Metadata Software Publication) is a project funded by the Helmholtz Metadata Collaboration, and runs from July 2021 until June 2023. It aims to collaborate with the Dataverse and InvenioRDM platforms to enable researchers to publish their software with combined metadata from different sources via automated CI/CD workflows.

As such, HERMES of course stands on the shoulders of the project giants that have gone before us, and whose expertise and experience we'd like to tap into.

We would very much like to discuss different aspects of the project with you as a stakeholder in the topics and/or projects that HERMES involves. We will build on your feedback to make software publication more useful, and easier for everyone involved.

Your ideas and feedback from the workshop will inform our concept for automated software publication with rich metadata, which we are preparing to summarize in a concept report. This report may also be submitted to a journal.
