The Helmholtz International BigBrain Analytics and Learning Laboratory (HIBALL) and Healthy Brains, Healthy Lives (HBHL) are teaming up to host an exciting training day in stunning Reykjavík, Iceland on October 4, 2023, in conjunction with the 7th BigBrain Workshop taking place October 5 and 6, 2023.
HIBALL is co-funded by HBHL and contributes to its mission through reinforced utilisation and co-development of the latest AI and high-performance computing (HPC) technologies for building highly detailed 3D brain models. This year's HBHL training day is the perfect opportunity for researchers at all career stages to learn about big data analytics, human brain atlasing, and computational neuroscience in interactive plenaries and hands-on workshops. But that's not all! The event also provides a fantastic networking opportunity to connect with peers, researchers, and renowned experts. And we are thrilled to announce that Maryann Martone will be delivering the keynote talk, making this event an even more exciting and valuable experience for all attendees.
The full programme is available here.
The training day will offer exiting hands-on sessions on a variety of open tools and service:
- Exchanging data & knowledge
- Neuromaps - a toolbox for structural and functional interpretation of brain maps
- How to use EBRAINS atlas services with the online Siibra Explorer and Siibra Python tools
- An open access software ecosystem for multiscale neuroscience
- BigBrain data processing with CBRAIN and DataLad
- Atelier3D-MCIN – A software suite for interactive visualization, annotation and mapping of the big brain
