Abstract: Over the past twenty years of BCW, the ideas of connectivity have matured from something purely anatomical to something that incorporates brain dynamics. This has the potential to help make a better link between structure, function, behavior, and cognition, but is not without its challenges. I shall try to cover the major milestones in this maturation and some of the newer trends, with the intent of giving the audience of BCW2022 a good foundation to appreciate the formal workshop presentations in the coming days.
