Venue
The Workshop will be held at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, north of Dresden.
Bus transportation will be provided to / from the workshop, departing from Dresden city center. We recommend looking for accomodation in the city center. Public transport is widely available in the center and can be used to/from the Workshop bus stop.
How to reach Dresden city center
by plane 
- take any flight to Dresden International Airport (DRS), there are several daily flights with connection in Frankfurt and Munich
- take the shuttle-train (S-Bahn,
) to Dresden main station ("Hauptbahnhof, Dresden") - city center and hotels are in walking distance
by train

Tickets for Public Transport in Dresden
Tickets can be bought at vending machines located at many bus and tram stops, and other locations. Details on points of sale here.
All your trips will be in Fare Zone Dresden ("Tarifzone Dresden"), price level "A1". Different tickets exist:
- Single Trip (60 minutes): 3.20 Euro.
- 4-Trip Ticket (4x60 Minutes): 11.40 Euro.
- Daily Ticket (until 4am next morning): 8.60 Euro.
- Weekly Ticket (7 calendar days, including the day of purchase): 27.90 Euro.
If you will use public transport daily, a weekly ticket is the most economical (and care-free) option.
Please remember to validate your ticket before each trip (single trip tickets), or the first time you are using them (daily, weekly ticket), using the machines on the bus, in the tram, or on the train platform.
