We are glad that you are interested in this event and being part of the HAPN Steering Committee 2025. The main goals of the Kick-off are to formally launch HAPN, develop statutes (by-laws) for the network, organise working groups, and provide a platform for HAPN's steering committee (2 reps from each Helmholtz Center) to get to know each other.

1) How much time do I need to invest to participate in the HAPN steering committee?
--> At least 1 monthly steering committee meeting + 1 monthly working group meeting. Beyond that, it is up to individual members how much time they want to invest in tasks/projects necessary to achieve set goals.

3) How do I get from the hotel to the venue?
--> By bus (ride: 17 min, bus runs every 20 minutes):
Take bus 142 from bus stop Mollstr./Otto-Braun-Str. towards U Leopoldplatz. Get off at Hannoversche Str. and walk for 3 min to MDC-BIMSB (Hannoversche Str. 28, 10115 Berlin)
--> By tram (ride: 20 min, every 10 minutes): Take tram M5 from tram stop U Alexanderplatz towards S+U Hauptbahnhof. Get off at U Oranenburger Tor and walk for 5 min to MDC-BIMSB (Hannoversche Str. 28, 10115 Berlin).
4) Do I need to pay for dinner myself?
--> Yes, unfortunately, we are not allowed to cover dinner for participants due to the BMBF's new regulations. Dinner on Tuesday, 05.11.2024 will cost 30€ each for food. Drinks will be an additional cost.
5) Which restaurant will we have dinner at on Tuesday, 05.11.2024?
--> From MDC-BIMSB to Jolly (ride: 16 min): Take tram 12 or M1 from tram stop Hannoversche Str. and get off at stop Am Kupfergraben. Walk for about 3 min.
--> From and to Hotel (U-Bahn, ride: 14 min): Take U5 from stop Museumsinsel towards U Kaulsdorf-Nord, get off at Alexanderplatz, and walk for 4 min.
