ML4Earth Explainable AI Workshop

The national center of excellence ML4Earth invites you to participate in the Explainable Artificial Intelligence (xAI) Workshop to be hosted at the Conference Center Kolpinghaus Munich on November 22, 2022. This event is in collaboration with the Helmholtz AI and the international future lab AI4EO

During the morning, you will learn about the BayesFlow methodology in Prof. Ullrich Köthe's talk, and about out-of-distribution generalization, multi-modal and zero-shot learning in Prof. Zeynep Akata's talk. Later, we will discuss on a round table the present and future of xAI.

In the afternoon, you will have a hands-on introduction to xAI, and to end the day, the ML4Earth Hackathon will be introduced.

We are looking forward to meeting you in person. However, if you can't be there, we will also be happy to get in touch with you online at https://us06web.zoom.us/j/88613034350?pwd=cjJxbWNMcXJUdTE4MUYrTUQ4VkVsZz09 (Zoom meeting ID 886 1303 4350, password 485769)!

  4. Learn to choose which method is suitable for your specific task

Expected prior knowledge

In order to get the most from this tutorial session, you should be familiar with the basic concepts of machine learning and deep learning.

Technical requirements

On-site participants should bring their laptops and a headset.

In the repository, you can find the requirments.txt file. You can use this file to create the virtual environment that you have to use during the course.

Note that, in case you have any issues or you don’t want to install the environment on your own machine, you can follow the tutorials opening the notebooks on Colab.
