Course content:
This course will give you a compact overview of
- Day 1: Funding opportunities, with a focus on the post-doctoral phase
- Day 2: Basic rules for grant writing

- Introduction to the Research Support Office and its service offerings
- Overview of funding programmes, including
- Own position / Fellowships
- Travel
- Research stays abroad
- Young Researcher Groups
- Funding databases – how to search for funding programmes
- How to write a successful Grant proposal
- AWI-internal procedures for applicants
Target group:
The course is especially intended for beginners who have no or little experience with the writing of grant proposals:
- Mainly postdoctoral researchers, as well as doctoral candidates who want to learn about funding opportunities for the postdoctoral phase
- Early career researchers who want to learn how to write a good grant proposal
Please note: The course is NOT intended for graduate students who are looking for funding opportunities for PhD projects.
