Course content:

This course will give you a compact overview of

  • Day 1: Funding opportunities, with a focus on the post-doctoral phase
  • Day 2: Basic rules for grant writing

 

Contents in brief:

  • Introduction to the Research Support Office and its service offerings
  • Overview of funding programmes, including
    • Own position / Fellowships
    • Travel
    • Research stays abroad
    • Young Researcher Groups
  • Funding databases – how to search for funding programmes
  • How to write a successful Grant proposal
  • AWI-internal procedures for applicants

 

Target group:

The course is especially intended for beginners who have no or little experience with the writing of grant proposals:

  • Mainly postdoctoral researchers, as well as doctoral candidates who want to learn about funding opportunities for the postdoctoral phase
  • Early career researchers who want to learn how to write a good grant proposal

 

Please note: The course is NOT intended for graduate students who are looking for funding opportunities for PhD projects.
