Here are the instructions for those coming via public transit or by car to the school.
By Public Transit
1. Reach Golling-Abtenau Station
- From Munich Airport or Salzburg Airport, take a train to Golling-Abtenau.
- Use the ÖBB (Austria) site for Salzburg departures and Deutsche Bahn (Germany) site for Munich departures.
- If you’re already elsewhere in Europe, find your way to Golling-Abtenau also via the ÖBB (Austria) or Deutsche Bahn (Germany) websites.
2. Catch Bus 470
- Exit the station through the single exit and turn right.
- Walk ~30 m up the street to the bus stop (see image for reference).
- Use this trip planner to see departure times of the bus 470, from Golling-Abtenau train station to Rußbach am Pass Gschütt Gseng.
- Board bus 470 headed to Gosau. Tell the driver “Gseng” so they’ll stop at your destination Rußbach am Pass Gschütt Gseng.
- The ride takes about 45 minutes. Your bus ticket is included on your guest card, which you’ll receive roughly 12 hours before arrival.
3. Final Walk
- Disembark at Gseng and walk ~50 m on the same side of the road.
- You’ll see the large yellow building: Gasthof Auswinkl.
4. Last Bus & Pick-Up Options
- On Sunday, March 1, 2026, the final bus departs Golling–Abtenau at 20:42.
- If you can’t make that bus, or you miss it due to delays, please:
- Beforehand: Contact the organizers to arrange a pick-up.
- On the day: Call Hotel Gasthof Auswinkl at +43 6242 366 for an emergency lift (~90€).
By Car
- Destination: Gasthof Auswinkl, Gseng 57, 5442 Rußbach am Pass Gschütt, Austria
