Data and software publications have now entered the awareness of scientists. In addition to text publications, these forms are a further vehicle for enhancing one's own scientific reputation. These forms of publication also increase the visibility and appreciation of those involved in the generation of data and software. However, they are still underappreciated in the science landscape. With this short workshop we want to explain the publication registration process at UFZ and show how data and software are changing the way research results are published.
