Information for helpers

We are happy that you are interested to be a helper for this event. When you register, you don't need to have any knowledge on the topic yet.

 Your only prerequisites are:

  • interest in the topic (beginners welcome)
  • willingness to invest a few hours of preparation time before the onboarding (1-3 hours) and to attend the set-up meeting just before the workshop
  • interested to be a knowledge multiplier for your home institution and to educate your colleagues on how to produce FAIR data for submission
→ you will receive a condensed handout with key points from us

Don't forget to register, too.

During the workshop, helpers will react to help requests from the learners:

  • actively walk around and help learners solve the problem
  • reach out to the main educator for more complicated requests that need to be discussed with everyone
  • engage in the planned group discussions about biological data descriptions and submission.

Save the date: Helper's onboarding meeting (online)

When: Monday, June 30th 2025 10:00 - 11:00 (CEST)

Before the onboarding meeting, we ask you to prepare a few things in advance. This includes having a first look at the interfaces that we will be using during the workshop and navigating or trying them out on your own.

Please spend around 10 minutes to explore each interface and write down your questions and first impressions, especially if you face issues! You do not need to understand the tools fully, but this will help us to onboard you more efficiently.
