Career Development I

In collaboration with the Career Center at Forschungszentrum Jülich, we offer a three-year career development program for doctoral researchers. The program helps participants develop skills and careers throughout all stages of their thesis projects. The three face-to-face modules will be complemented by an offer to use the individual development plan “myIDP” by ScienceCareers, one-to-one consulting, and a mentoring offer. All interested doctoral researchers in IHRS BioSoft member institutes (in Jülich, Aachen, Bonn, Cologne, and Düsseldorf) within the first and second year of the thesis project are welcome to participate. Places are limited, and registration is required.

Course Format
- The course consists of three face-to-face workshops that accompany the thesis project over three consecutive years.
- In between the face-to-face workshops, participants will also be offered consulting and mentoring.
Requirements
- All interested doctoral researchers in IHRS BioSoft institutes within the first or second year of their thesis projects are welcome to apply.
- Registration is mandatory, and participation is subject to confirmation. In case of overbooking, fellows of the IHRS BioSoft will be preferentially admitted.
The first-year course includes lunch.
