We are pleased to announce a new workshop introducing the R programming language. Suitable for beginners, this course covers variables, data types, functions and how to use R for data analysis and visualization. Gain the coding skills you need to perform your own data analysis in R.

This workshop is designed specifically for beginners, with no prior programming skills required. Participants will be guided step-by-step, making it accessible for those who are entirely new to coding. Attendees will need to bring a laptop with R and RStudio installed, as these tools will be used throughout the course to facilitate hands-on learning and practical application.

Prerequisites: Laptop with R and RStudio installed

Date & Time: 9 AM to 4 PM each day, in person

Contents of the course include:

  • Variables and data types, factors
  • Basic operations and functions
  • Writing and running simple scripts
  • Vectors, matrices, lists, and data frames
  • Reading data from CSV, Excel, and other formats
  • Writing data to files
