The HAIYAP is an annual in-person event that
- aligns all platform constituents on strategic goals,
- connects Helmholtz AI research teams, consultant teams, management and other HIDS platforms,
- generates mid-term collaborative projects,
- provides a capability update and
- aligns and facilitates annual planning including communication.
Added value for all participants and the platform as a whole are paramount.
A selection of stakeholders have been interviewed to incorporate feedback in the design.
Sessions at HAIYAP include:
- Introduction to the Helmholtz Information and Data Science Framework (HIDS)

Update of each lab/team on capabilities and including HIDS platforms
- Outline of strategic priorities of 2025

Priorisiting and roadmapping annual joint challenges/objectives to fulfill strategic goals

Preparing an event and communication plan for the year (e.g. workshops, conferences, campaigns)

Feedback and consolidation on the spot
The platform's overarching strategic priorities that are approved by the steering board in the run-up to the planning meeting; outcomes of the HAIYAP will be discussed and if necessary approved by the steering board; all priorities and additional plans that are taken up will be documented via the annual report’s outlook.
