The 6th Data Science Symposium on 8th/9th November 2021, organized by AWI, will build bridges between Science Methods/Applications and Infrastructure developments.
It is part of a joint series of symposia of AWI, GEOMAR and Hereon, established 2017.

Like in the last years we call for your contributions, to present ideas for or results from running projects. In particular, infrastructure providers are interested in current trends. Usually overviews of overarching developments like Digitalization Strategy or Community Activities like NFDI, but also HGF-project related information (Helmholtz Incubator, pilots and projects within IuV-funds) are welcome, as well as information on recent developments within O2A, High Performance Computing and from PoF IV related to Data Science and Data Management.

The meeting venue is Haus der Wissenschaft, in the City of Bremen. We plan for a hybrid meeting.

We are happy to announce Keynotes from Markus Reichstein (MPI Biogeochemistry, Jena) and Alexander Struck (Cluster of Excellence -- Matters of Activity, Humboldt University of Berlin). Another Keynote is inquired on Remote Sensing and Collaborative Initiatives.

Application for Contributions and indication of interest to participate were possible until 13th September 2021 in an online-survey.
Having the program drafted, we will call for registration during September.

Under Corona conditions Olbers Hall is open for 25 persons for presence; without restrictions we'd have 80 seats. Two additional rooms are booked for poster presentations.
