Venue and logistics

The school will take place in the halls of Vila Lanna in Prague. Vila Lanna is a neo-renaissance building built in 1872 by the prominent industrialist and art collector Vojtěch Lanna as a summer residence. Today it is protected by the National Heritage Fund and since 1957 it has belonged to the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.

Conference hall

The workshop will take place in the Apollon's Hall of the Vila Lanna. During the workshop, other halls of the Vila Lanna will also be available for use (see here for more details ).

Accommodation at Villa Lanna

All students will stay at Villa Lanna. Once you have been notified that you have been accepted into the school, you should send an email to the reception of Villa Lanna (recepce@vila-lanna.cz) with the subject line "ChINOS School - Your Name" to book your accommodation. Payment for accommodation should be made at the reception upon arrival.

Lunches and Social Dinner

For all participants of the school, lunches and a social dinner (date TBD) will be at Villa Lanna. Menus will be prepared according to your dietary requirements. The cost of lunches for all 5 days of the school and the social dinner is included in the registration fee.

Visit to the Ondřejov Observatory and Prague city tour

A visit to the Ondřejov Observatory will be organized, the cost of which will be included in the registration fee. For those who are interested, a Prague city tour through the mathematical, physical and astronomical Prague will be organized for an additional fee (~12 EUR).

Czech currency

The official currency of the Czech Republic is the Czech crown (Kč/CZK). The exchange rate of the Czech crown to the euro and other currencies can be found on the websites of the Czech National Bank and the European Central Bank.
