The annual International Conference on Nonlinear Elasticity in Materials (ICNEM) promotes the understanding of the elastic nonlinear behavior of solids and soft matter. The conference focuses on both basic research and applications and represents the state of the art in this domain.

27th ICNEM in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse (Germany)
in honor of Robert A. Guyer: friend, mentor and collaborator (July 30, 1936 - May 3, 2025)

Location
The conference will be held in the city of Neustadt an der Weinstraße about 100 km from Frankfurt am Main in Germany. The Kloster Neustadt venue is a monastery with a conference hotel in a German wine-growing region. It is located about 25 min by foot from the city center, giving the opportunity to create an atmosphere with plenty of room for informal exchange during breaks, walks and in the evenings.
Travel Information
Travel from within Europe is best done by train to the train station Neustadt (Weinstrasse) Hbf. Travel times are 3.5h from Paris, 6.5h from Berlin, 8h from London, 10h from Prague. Very useful information on international train travel is provided by The Man on Seat 61. If you have to use air transportation, fly to Frankfurt am Main Airport and take a train to Neustadt (Weinstrasse) Hbf. We will provide transportation between Neustadt (Weinstrasse) Hbf train station to the venue on the days of arrival and departure.

Participants will be accommodated in single rooms in the conference hotel.

Registration fee
The conference fee is 780€ including full board (except for one private dinner) and accommodation. A few rooms with shared bathroom are available for students with a conference fee of 630€.
