This workhop will be the 5th of the TARG series. Following the workshops in Milano, Salamanca, Paris and Munich, we want to invite the international scientific community interested in target development for high power lasers and their applications to Dresden end of October 2021.
With this workshop we wish to renew the exchange in the field and foster collaborations and joint activities which have suffered during the Pandemic in many cases. As such, and following the interest many of you expressed in the survey, we organize the meeting in Dresden as a hybrid event with preference to on-site attendance in particular also for young researchers. In order to be compliant with varying travel regulations in different countries on-site participation will only be possible for fully vaccinated or recovered people holding the corresponding EU certificate. Further protocols like an on-site quick test may apply as rules are subject to changes. We ensure the strict abidance of the established safety measures during the workshop for on-site participants. Online participation will be managed via zoom for registered participants.
We encourage your registration and submission of contributions with a deadline for contributions on October, 10th. Given the hybrid format no poster session is planned. Registration without contribution will remain open after the above deadline. Information on the scientific program, social events, and organizational details (including potential changes in Covid measures) will follow soon after the deadline.
Topics of the workshop will include:
- target developement for high repetition rate applications
- debris free targets
- target alignement
- dynamically tailored targets and diagnostics
- novel developments and links to neighbouring commuities
- applications
The workshop will be held at the premises of HZDR, shuttle transport to and from Dresden downtown will be provided if required.
