Description

Topic 8 Days

Topic 8: Georesources adresses two key challenges of our future: where do we find the resources for the energy transition and a high-tech society, and how to access those resources in the most sustainable way.

The Topic 8 days aims at bringing together all scientists (including PhDs, post-docs, ...) from GFZ, UFZ and Geomar working on T8 themes to present and discuss research results of the first 3 years of the PoFIV period (2021-now).

The Topic 8 days will take place on 10./11.04.2024 in House H (Telegrafenberg/Potsdam) and scientific contributions will cover the full breadth of our research. We welcome oral and poster contributions on the following themes of T8:

  • (urban) Geothermal,
  • Geological Storage,
  • Metal and Carbon resources,
  • Geodynamics,
  • Coupled Interactions and Models,
  • Advanced Techniques.

Please register and submit your contribution until 22.03.2024!
