The Georgian-German Science Bridge (GGSB) serves as an umbrella organisation to initiate and coordinate the various research, teaching and technology transfer activities between partner institutions in Georgia and Germany. Currently, its members include a consortium of esteemed Georgian universities, including the Agricultural University of Georgia (AUG), Georgian Technical University (GTU), Ilia State University (ISU), Kutaisi International University (KIU), and Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) and renowned German research institutes such as the Forschungszentrum Jülich (FZJ), the GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research (GSI) in Darmstadt, and the Helmholtz Centre Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR), in addition to the RWTH Aachen University.
In 2024, we are excited to announce the 10th Georgian-German School and Workshop in Basic Science (GGSWBS), marking the 20th anniversary of the GGSB. To commemorate this milestone, we will host a one-week Science Fest (GGSB´24) from September 9 to 13 in Tbilisi (TSU and GTU) and Kutaisi (KIU), Georgia, to showcase the advancements in science, education, and cultural exchange achieved over the past two decades.
