Getting to Berlin
Berlin is a major transport hub with excellent connections to all parts of Germany and Europe. Here are some of the most convenient ways to get to Berlin:
By Flight
Berlin's main airport is Berlin Brandenburg Willy Brandt Airport (BER). BER is located about 25 kilometers southwest of the city center.
By Train
Berlin Hauptbahnhof (central station) is a major railway hub with connections to all parts of Germany and Europe. There are several trains per hour from all major German cities, as well as from many other European cities.
By Car
Berlin is well-connected to the German motorway network. The A10 motorway encircles the city, and there are several motorways that lead directly into the city center. However, traffic congestion can be a problem, so it is advisable to allow plenty of time for your journey.
Getting to HZB - Adlershof Campus
The closest S-Bahn station is Adlershof. There are several trains that run from many parts of Berlin. Please have a look at the Berlin Transit Map for more details. From the train station, you can take a short walk to HZB Campus (~12 minutes).
Bus and tram lines are also a good option. The closest stop is Magnusstr. (Berlin). From there, the Campus is few minutes away walking.
