Statistical Models with R
The programming course “Statistical Models with R” adds to the content learnt in the “Introduction to R” course. In this course, we will discuss how to apply classical statistical methods (t-test, linear regression, ANOVA …) in R. Short explanations on how to implement statistical methods in R are combined with hands-on exercise sessions.
Please notice that it is a programming course, no explicit explanations on the statistical methods will be discussed. We expect participants to be familiar with statistical theory on hypothesis tests and linear regression. In this course we focus on the how to code statistical models. For more explicit explanations on statistics (theory and when to apply which method), please consider joining the course “Introduction to Statistics” instead.
A graphical explanation of the differences between the courses “Introduction to R”, “Statistical Models with R” and “Introduction to Statistics” is given here.
Prerequisites: Programming skills with R, e.g. course “Introduction to R” and basic theoretical statistical knowledge.
