Description
While the individual projects concentrate on their specific problems, a Synergy Unit focuses on overarching issues that are relevant to all participating projects. For example, it deals with questions relating to the scalability of the models or training with the data sets. However, this is not simply a matter of exchanging solution approaches, but rather the central question of how research on foundation models can be advanced as quickly as possible across disciplinary boundaries. In this way, the Synergy Unit ensures a long-term impact of the Helmholtz Foundation Model Initiative for the benefit of the general public.
