Hackathon „Quantum Computational Science and Engineering”

Europe/Berlin
RWTH Aachen

RWTH Aachen

Description

In this hackathon, we aim to bring together experts and Ph.D. students with backgrounds in computational engineering and/or quantum algorithms to explore potential applications of quantum computers for solving engineering problems. You will have the opportunity to attend lectures, hands-on workshops, and group discussions focused on exploring novel quantum technologies for computational engineering applications. The Hackathon is supported by the Jülich Aachen Research Alliance (JARA) ,i.e., the JARA Center for Simulation and Data Science, RWTH’s Profile Area Modeling and Simulation Sciences, IRTG-2379, HDS-LEE, and the European Center of Excellence in Exascale Computing RAISE, led by Forschungszentrum Jülich. RWTH and Forschungszentrum Jülich combine outstanding interdisciplinary research in applied computing with access to a world-class computing infrastructure and facilitate hands-on sessions in the Hackathon on the quantum annealer JUPSI at the Jülich Supercomputing Centre. The access to JUPSI is supported and sponsored by the Jülich UNified Infrastructure for Quantum computing (JUNIQ). Use-Cases are provided by  the organizers and industrial partners.  You can find a preliminary program below.
