Along with the Helmholtz Open Science Policy, several changes for research practice at UFZ will affect UFZ scientists. Open Science and its values of openness for a transparent and reproducible science motivate scientist to open up their research process. Data- and software publications become more prominent, meta data is key to describe research artefacts. After the course, the participants will have an understanding of some of the Open Science practices at UFZ and know how to deal with and submit data and software publications.

  • you work/research at UFZ
  • you deal with data sets or you create software in your research and want to publish it
  • you want to know how you can tweak your resume with your data and software publications
  • you want to know how to report data and software publications for the UFZ publication database
  • you want to know what other developments might come along with the Helmholtz Open Science Policy
  • you have specific questions towards Open Science (we're planning to have enough time for Q&A at the end of the course)
