Description

The HElmholtz-SESAME Beamline (HESEB) is a new state-of-the-art beamline operating in the soft x-ray regime at the synchrotron radiation facility SESAME.

We are happy to announce the 2023 HESEB Research Workshop taking place on December 3-5, 2023 at SESAME.

The event is intended for hosts from European facilities and their guest scientists from SESAME members (i.e., Cyprus, Egypt, Iran, Israel, Jordan, Pakistan, Palestine, and Türkiye), who worked together previously during HESEB research stays.

The 2023 HESEB Research Workshop will intensify the scientific collaboration between Europe and the Middle East in soft x-ray research and help grow the HESEB user community.

We foresee two types of presentations:

  • The hosts will present the experimental techniques used at their beamlines.
  • The guests will introduce a research project for HESEB, similar to an experimental proposal.

We ask hosts and guests to register here and submit an abstract. The length of the abstract is limited to 2000 characters including blanks.

The deadline is October 2, 2023.

IMPORTANT NOTE

We are going to stream all presentations.

Please register here if you would like to attend virtual talks of the hosts and guests and participate in the discussions following the talks.

We are going to share a link a few days before the event.
