Description

The main aims of the SynCom Project “Scaling up Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR)” are to actively network scientists within the RF Earth&Environment (as well as to link with RF Energy), focusing on both natural and technical CDR approaches, with the goal to establish an inclusive dialogue with a wide range of stakeholders, including the public, politics, and industry, to thoroughly address the feasibility and anticipated challenges associated with CDR demonstrators.

These concerted efforts aim to asses requirements and pave the way for effective and well-informed CDR implementations, considering technical, political, regulatory, and societal dimensions, ultimately contributing to a sustainable and climate-resilient future.

This kick-off meeting aims to bring together researchers from the seven E&E centers to work on the objectives of the SynCom Project and organize the next steps.
