Description
The Ideas Market will be a plattform to networking with the aim to elaborate how to use the competences we have in the Helmholtz centers for connecting existing porjects and to get ideas for new ones.
Hazard and Resources in Reykjanes, Hengill, Theistareykir and Krafla, Iceland
On behalf of the Research Field „Earth and Environment“ seven Helmholtz centers have established seven novel joint acitivities for talent management und career development. We are going to pay special attention to the upcoming events and programs with open slots for participation.
Over the past years, the Helmholtz AI Consultants for Earth and Environment have provided extensive support to a wide range of research projects across the programme topics, including applications of AI/ML in Earth System Modelling, remote sensing, seismology and marine sciences.

Helmholtz Imaging is the overarching platform to better leverage and make accessible to everyone the innovative modalities, methodological richness, and data treasures of the Helmholtz Association. Helmholtz Imaging covers the whole process from data acquisition and data preparation to data management and data analysis.
Atmospheric moisture, instability, and lift are the key ingredients necessary for the formation of heavy rain-producing clouds. We will present three different instrument combination (payloads) measuring atmospheric profiles on a weather balloon.
From heavy precipitation to flood: what measurements and models do we need for successful forecasts? New developments and ideas will be presented using the examples of current MOSES campaigns and recent extreme events in Germany.
Imaging is a central aspect of automation in toxicity testing - supporting the goal to increase the throughput and content in bioanalytical assessment of the many still uncharaterised chemicals in commerce. Both KIT and UFZ have developed tools to support imaging and automation in alternative test systems ranging from automated specimen positioning and video recording, facitlitated labelling...
50 sound clips from the Arctic and Antarctic oceans have been available to sound artists as well as musicians from all over the world for composition since last late summer. Now, the resulting creatively interpreted pieces have been released at https://citiesandmemory.com/polar-sounds/.
