Description

From synapse to transistor: A journey of biological and artificial neural networks

As of October 2022 Moritz Helias has been awarded a full professorship within the physics department RWTH, with the topic “Theory of Neural Networks”: a significant milestone in the scientific career of an astonishing researcher, a valued collaborator and respected supervisor.

The symposium will showcase different stages of Moritz's career, starting from his early days as a PhD student in Freiburg, his PostDoc at RIKEN in Japan, his work at INM-6, and his time as a Junior Professor at RWTH Aachen. Along with senior researchers who accompanied him throughout his scientific career, we are excited to welcome former PhD students who are now working in academia, public sector, and private sector companies.

Join us for an engaging and informative symposium that promises to be a rewarding experience for all.

Please note that the registration will close on 31 July 11:59 pm CEST.
