Recent advances in Machine Learning (ML) allowed for unprecedented improvement in the toolset for basic and applied biomedical research. ML-powered processing and analysis of biomedical images, gene or protein sequences, molecular structure, as well as scientific language provide untapped opportunities in Infection and Disease Biology. To accelerate the harnessing of this toolset, we are bringing together experts from Infection Biology, Disease Biology, Quantitative Biology, Biomedical ML, and Pharmaceutical Industry in the first symposium on ML for Infection and Disease in Görlitz.
Please note, that due to venue capacity constraints, only the first 20 applications will be invited to join on-site. Everyone else is welcome to join via Zoom.
