The Helmholtz-SESAME soft x-ray beamline "HESEB" has been officially been inaugurated on June 12th, 2022.  The extreme brilliance of the beamline and its energy range, soft X-rays between 90 and 1800 eV, will greatly expand the experimental capability of SESAME.  Commissioning of the new beamline has started and the phase of friendly user operations was entered. Now is the time to reach out to the science community and to inform all potential users about the capabilites of HESEB.

This is the goal of the first HESEB workshop on September 8th and 9th, 2022, which will be hosted by Istanbul University.

Participation is limited. The registration will close on August 16th at noon.

Please note: this workshop will be organised as a hybrid event. Registration is required in both cases, for participation in person as well as for online participation.

We might be able to offer a few grants in the format of a flat rate as co-funding for your travel expenses. However, it will only become clear later in summer if we will be able to offer such grants at all.
