The course is run by Zentralinstitut (ZI) für Seelische Gesundheit Mannheim and is based on a well-established and internationally widely accepted curriculum that has been adjusted to Germany. Find here the German-language MHFA course description. If you are looking for an English-language description, you can find one on the website for the Australian MHFA training.
Participation costs will be covered centrally by the Initiative and Networking Fund of the Helmholtz Association. In the first round, places can be booked only by coordinators of Helmholtz schools and Career Centers.
The ZI will only issue you a certificate of participation if you take part in all sessions. In case you cannot make one or the other date, please let us know in the registration form, such that we check for options to offer you that session on another day with another group.
When you register, you will immediately receive an email that you are on the waiting list. Shortly following the deadline, we will let you know if your application was accepted. Should there be more registrations than places available, places will be allocated evenly across Helmholtz centers/schools, with the first-come-first-served principle within each center, so early registration is recommended. Your availability on the course dates will also be taken into account for selecting participants.
