HELMHOLTZ AI FFT SEMINAR 

On Thursday 03 March 2022, the Food for Thought seminar series will have three presenters from the Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon and the German climate computing centre (DKRZ).

Christian Feiler (Hereon), who was a 2020 Helmholtz AI project call awardee, will talk about his project AI² - Eyesight to AI

Tobias Machnitzki (Hereon), from David Greenberg's young investigator group, will give insights into Robust Detection of Marine Life with Label-free Image Feature Learning

Tobias Weigel, head of the DKRZ consultant group, will give an overview on Building Python-Fortran workflows for Earth system models and ML

Tobias Weigel will chair the session.

The Helmholtz AI FFT (food for thought) seminar series aims to facilitate knowledge exchange within the Helmholtz AI community (researchers and consultants) and the formation of topic-related interest groups within Helmholtz AI.

The seminars take place the first Thursday of each month, from 11:00 to 12:00, and consist of a 15-min talk from each speaker + 5-min Q&A dedicated to each speaker (facilitated via hackmd).
