What is it like to finish your time as a doctoral researcher at the FZJ and start a career in industry – as a group lead?

Join us for our next "One Hour One Job" session on September 11 from 12:30–13:30 (online) with Jimena Martinez Diaz, who will share insights from her perspective as an international into her own path into the German industrial landscape.

Jimena Martinez Diaz is Group Lead at “Modellfabrik Papier”, Jülich/Düren,  for systemic integration and Process Management in the Project FOMOP.

She will talk about her transition from academia into a leading position in industry, the challenges and opportunities she encountered, and what role her professional network played into getting her new role. She will provide insights into building a team from the ground up and navigating the challenges of stepping into a leadership role in Research and Development — all while finalizing her PhD thesis.
