Course content:

Participants learn how to assess whether a journal should be classified as a Predatory Journal.

The workshop will focus on

  • What are “Predatory Journals”?
  • What are “Hijacked Journals”?
  • Evaluation tools: DOAJ, Master Journal List, Scopus Sources, Think Check Submit
  • Examples of whitelists and blacklists
  • What to do if it has happened?

 

Target group:

Mast Students, PhD candidates, and Postdocs

 

Pre-requisites:

Participants are expected to bring a laptop with VPN.

 

Please note: Our courses are generally free of charge for all participants. However, they do have a price and can cost PROCEED / the AWI as much as 150 € per day per student.
