We cordially invite everyone working within the Integration Platform 1 - IP Sustainable Future Land Use to the Annual Scientific Retreat 2025.
The meeting will take place at Hotel “Zum Kanzler” in Stolberg in the Harz mountains from 6 to 7 November 2025.
For more information on IP1 please see here: https://www.ufz.de/index.php?en=48644.
Building on the format of our previous IP retreat in 2024, we once again would like to engage with you in discussions on our research within the Research Unit Ecosystems of the Future and across the RUs. The retreat will provide an opportunity especially to further strengthen and expand our collaborations. Besides the interesting scientific discussions there will be ample room to also socialize and have a good time together.
The targets of the IP Retreat are:
- Scientific exchange & social life
- Inform and be informed – status and results of Dynamic Platform Projects
- Maintain the exchange across Departments and RUs
- Present novel cross-department research ideas
- Keynotes of external scientists on biodiversity and soil monitoring [topic and speakers still to be confirmed]
A binding registration is required to assess the need for rooms, chairs, food, and drinks. To register, please log in here. We kindly ask you to register for the retreat until September, 28, 2025.
- Please note that a maximum of 50 participants can stay overnight, due to room availability. Therefore, when registering, please, indicate whether you join the retreat on the first and/or second day and whether you need an overnight stay or not.
- We will offer a bus transfer from Leipzig / Halle to Stolberg. When registering, please indicate whether you want to join the bus from either Leipzig (main station / Goethestraße) or Halle (UFZ) or not at all.
- You can also indicate your dietary needs in the registration portal.
- A successful registration is confirmed by an automatic email reply. If you receive no such e-mail (and it is not in the spam folder), don't hesitate to contact the organizer.
For questions and suggestions, please contact the IP-speakers Susanne Dunker (susanne.dunker@ufz.de) and Sonja Knapp (sonja.knapp@ufz.de).
