    • Part 1

The first day focuses on theoretical foundations to build a solid understanding of what makes a compelling science pitch. Participants are introduced to the key elements of effective science communication in short formats.

A core emphasis is placed on understanding the audience: Who is listening – and how can I present my research in a way that is clear, engaging, and relevant to them? Building on this, the session explores how storytelling techniques can be applied in scientific contexts to turn complex content into compelling narratives.

Participants learn about the structure of an effective science pitch, including how to craft a strong opening, clearly outline a problem and its solution, and leave the audience with a memorable takeaway. The day concludes with practical tips on linguistic and visual clarity, helping to make every pitch both accessible and impactful.
