Peter Steinbach, Head of Helmholtz AI consultant team @ HZDR will chair the session.
Abstract: The Netherlands eScience Center is a research organization that since 2012 has been uniquely positioned as an independent foundation, financed by the Dutch Research Council (NWO) and the Dutch organization for IT in education and research (SURF), on the instigation of the Dutch government. It has been assigned the task to ensure that the Netherlands remains at the forefront of international research in applying research software to answer research questions. The Center fulfils its purpose by contributing to a robust national research community in which ultimately all investigators in all disciplines will be able to exploit advanced digital technologies. The talk will explore the way the Center puts its mission and vision into practice under the new Strategy for 2021-2025.
