Description

Short Summary

The publication of research data fosters the reproducibility and quality of scientific work and opens up opportunities for novel research. Many funders, universities and scientific organizations are incresingly committed to make data underlying research results publicly available in resuable form. Based on examples from GFZ Data Services, the seminar will address questions like "What do I need for a data publication?", "What is a data repository and how can it help me publishing my data?" and "What are these 'FAIR Principles' every one is talking about?" Time for discussion and questions, including about you own data you plan to publish, will be provided. The seminar is organized by the Specialized Information Service for Geosciences (Fachinformationsdienst Geowissenschaften, FID GEO). https://www.fidgeo.de/en/fid-geo-en/
