^{The HZDR Doctoral Guidelines define a uniform framework to ensure that doctoral projects at the HZDR can be successfully completed under the best possible conditions within a reasonable time frame. They contain the framework conditions for doctoral projects at the HZDR, as well as the tasks and obligations of doctoral researchers and their supervisors, and are binding for everyone. The HZDR also offers non-scientific qualifications in the form of a certified structured programme.}
