Description

What is it about?

The ability to think and act with a focus on creative problem solving is a crucial skill that scientists can already apply throughout their academic career. Design Thinking is a creative method that deepens this skill and supports the generation of new ideas through an interdisciplinary perspective as well as improves collaboration skills with PIs, colleagues or other researchers. Moreover, the Design Thinking approach facilitates the transfer of your scientific results into application in industry, society or politics.

Scope

  • Introduction of the Design Thinking approach
  • Groups of 4-5 persons will work on a Design Thinking challenge based on actual topics of your research
  • Stimulate the transfer of scientific results & interdisciplinary, user-centred design
  • Promoting innovative thinking for your own innovative potential - in an academic, personal and professional context
  • Network with other doctoral candidates in a pleasant workshop atmosphere
