Despite decades of efforts to promote women and equal opportunities in science, the leaky pipeline has still not been plugged and the glass ceiling has not been broken. All of this is exacerbated when female scientists become mothers.

What will be discussed in this talk?

• What solutions and support can be available for mothers in science in this situation?
• What options do organizations have to encounter this? What assistance is available?
• What solutions and ideas for empowerment of female scientists with children (or wishing to have one) are there?

 

In addition to an analysis of the status quo of so-called compatibility, we would like to discuss these questions and present best practice examples from all over Germany and Austria.
