Europe/Berlin
Description

Plasma-PEPSC Fifth F2F Meeting - HZDR

Event Schedule : 28 April, 12 noon - 30 April, 12 noon

Hybrid Event Format

The fifth Plamsa-PEPSC F2F meeting will be hosted in a hybrid format. This means you can join us either in-person at HZDR or virtually from the comfort of your own home or office.

We aim to provide a smooth and seamless experience for all participants.

Getting to HZDR

You can get to HZDR from Dresden with public transport or by car. Detailed instruction can be found on this webpage.

The most convenient bus to HZDR from the city center is the Bus number 261, which leaves from Dresden Hauptbahnhof hourly. The stops of the bus inside the city can be found on the following link

BUS 261 Dresden Hauptbahnhof ➞ Sebnitz Busbahnhof

You can check journey information of bus 261 here.

Type `Hauptbahnhof, Dresden` as starting point and `Forschungszentrum, Rossendorf (Dresden)` as destination. And departure time `08:00`. In the journey details of bus 261 click on `11 Zwischenhalte (46 min)`  to show intermediary stops. If you click on one of the stops its location will be shown in the map on the right.

Video Conference Link

The link to the video conference will be shared with the registered participants close to the date of the conference.

Organization

This face to face meeting is organized by HZDR/CASUS with the Plasma-PEPSC CoE.

Hotels

We can recommend staying in a hotel which is close to any of the stops of the bus 261 in the city.

A few hotels which we recommend are listed below.

As an alternative, there is also limited space available at the HZDR guesthouse, which is on campus, which means it is slightly remote and hard to get to at late hours.

For people planning to stay in the guest house, breakfest is provided by canteen, meaning that you will pay for every item you buy.

Information on the guest house:

Please keep in mind, the last bus toward HZDR from the city center
leaves around 9pm. So in case there is a conference dinner, it might be
difficult to get back to the guest house.

Dinner Venue

The dinner will take place on Tue, 29th April, starting 7:45pm in Restaurant Sophienkeller in Kleines Zunftgewölbe im Taschenbergpalais, Taschenberg 3, 01067 Dresden.
