Abstract:
KGI4NFDI: Enabling Knowledge Graph Infrastructure for NFDI
The Knowledge Graph Infrastructure service (KGI4NFDI) project aims to provide a central Knowledge Graph Infrastructure for the German National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI). This talk will introduce the KGI4NFDI basic service, which offers a central registry of knowledge graphs, interoperability and alignment with relevant initiatives, support for incubator projects, consultancy regarding KG usage, development, and deployment, as well as integration and collaboration with existing Base Services. We will present the current status of the project, its achievements, and future plans, highlighting the benefits of using knowledge graphs for research data management and the potential for synergies with other NFDI consortia and international initiatives.
TS4NFDI: A Cross-Domain Terminology Service for NFDI
The Terminology Service (TS4NFDI) project aims to provide a unified access point for terminologies across all disciplines, reducing the efforts to integrate terminologies in any service or tool to manage research data. This talk will introduce the TS4NFDI basic service, its architecture, and its key components, including the API Gateway, Service Wrappers, Mapping Service, and reusable GUI widgets. We will present the project's goals, progress, and future plans, as well as its potential impact on the NFDI communities and beyond. With TS4NFDI, we envision a common knowledge representation and knowledge engineering framework that enables seamless integration and reuse of research data across disciplines.
