Collaboration means working together to solve problems. However, the willingness to collaborate alone is not enough - an effective set of skills is required. For doctoral researchers, postdocs, and research staff, collaboration can be challenging, especially in a highly competitive environment where you may need to work alongside direct competitors (in terms of positions, reputation, etc.).
Yet, these collaborations also provide valuable opportunities to build strong, sustainable networks for the future. A stable and reliable network can make a significant difference in both your professional and personal life. Join the workshop to enhance collaboration skills, build meaningful professional relationships, and learn how to navigate challenges in collaborative research settings.
In detail:
Date: April 17, 2025 | 9am to 2pm (Please note that there will be no lunch break, but two shorter breaks instead.)
Location: Zoom (The Zoom link will be sent to registered participants approximately one week before the online workshop.)
Trainer: Dr. Eva Reichmann
Language: English
Methods: Learning materials will be provided approximately 10-7 days prior to the online workshop. Working through the materials will take about 2-3 hours. To get the most out of the online workshop, it is important to complete the self-study preparation beforehand. Without it, participation may not be as effective. The in-person time in the online workshop will be used for exchange, practical exercises, feedback, and experimentation under guidance. The interactive exercises with feedback will allow participants to analyze their previous approaches and the current status, enabling them to derive goals based on this and learn new approaches to create sustainable collaborations.
Note: Since the workshop will be held online via Zoom, please ensure in advance that you have a working camera and microphone. Active participation in the online workshop is expected, so a stable internet connection should be guaranteed.
Please register by April 1, 2025.
