In preparation for the EPICS Collaboration Meeting - Spring 2025, hosted by the ISIS Neutron and Muon Source, the Beamlines and Optics Department is offering a training session on Ophyd and Bluesky at BESSY II. This training is designed for engineers and scientists involved in control systems and software development, particularly those working with EPICS controls.
Topics covered:
- Hardware abstraction with Ophyd
- Experiment execution with the Bluesky RunEngine
- Data and metadata collection
- Data access and processing
The training will include hands-on sessions using a simulated environment on a virtual machine. Further information, including access details for the virtual machine, what you need to bring etc. will be shared in the following weeks.
