organized in cooperation with Helmholtz Information & Data Science Academy (HIDA) and Helmholtz Metadata Collaboration (HMC)
The Helmholtz Metadata Collaboration (HMC) is all about boosting the quality of research data with the power of metadata – and we're bringing this approach to life across the entire Helmholtz organization! In this context, HMC is excited to offer the course Fundamentals of Scientific Metadata- For Energy as part of the HIDS Data Science course portfolio.
This course is aimed at researchers in the Energy domain seeking to move beyond silo thinking. It shows how important it is to annotate your data with standardized metadata to make it findable and reusable, thereby increasing the reach and impact of your research.
The course also provides a practical example of registering metadata on the Open Energy Platform, which defines its own standards and ontology.
By the end of the course, you will be able to annotate your data within the Open Energy Platform using the OEMetaString standard.
To participate in this course, you need to know which properties your data have – nothing else.
This course is aimed at researchers in the Energy domain seeking to move beyond silo thinking.
