Description

Prepare for your target group! We use complicated modeling approaches but need to prepare results for high-level decision-making, e.g. of policy makers. Therefore, we need to make a trade-off between accurate modeling and trustworthy communication and want to make energy systems analysis explorable by non-experts.

In this workshop, we bring together experts from three sides, energy systems analyses, visual analytics and policy making, to discuss current approaches, learn what to improve and prepare for improved knowledge transfer using software tools.

Securing the availability of critical raw materials

This a key challenge for the energy transition in Germany. These raw materials are essential for renewable energy technologies, and their limited availability and potential supply risks could jeopardise the transformation to a sustainable energy supply. Recycling potential offers the opportunity to minimise these risks and ensure a more stable supply. In this context, the RESUME research project (funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action) aims to systematically analyse these relationships and develop robust strategies for the energy supply of the future.
