In our Module "Application Discovery", we focus specifically on your ideas. If you want to know how to go from technology to application, Application Discovery is the right place for you. Prof Dr Peter Keinz uses the Technological Competence Leveraging method to show you how to develop marketable business ideas from your research.

Ass. Prof. Dr Peter Keinz has been researching and teaching in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation management at the Vienna University of Economics and Business for over 15 years. He is the developer and originator of the 'Technological Competence Leveraging' method (TCL) and has published several scientific papers on its successful application in the field of technology transfer. In addition to his academic tasks, Mr Keinz supports research organisations and technology-driven companies worldwide in the commercialisation of technologies, including CERN, Fraunhofer, the University of Cologne, the Vienna University of Technology, Joanneum Research, the Austrian Institute for Technology, the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute, the Austrian Research Promotion Agency and companies such as Magna, Austrian Microsystems, Thermo Fisher International and, for some years now, spin-off teams at Fraunhofer.
In total, Mr Keinz has accompanied over 100 successful technology transfer projects with the above-mentioned organisations and companies. In addition to his unique methodological knowledge and approach, Mr Keinz also has a very good assessment of the specific requirements and needs of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft and the award programme.

We are therefore very pleased that we were able to win Prof Dr Keinz for our Module and, of course, we look forward to your ideas!

The workshop consists of the following parts:

▶️ Derivation of the benefits of a technology (based on example projects)

▶️ Identification and evaluation of commercially attractive application areas of a technology
